Established in 1953, Shenzhen Jianye Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. Has been known as No.1 Mile Construction Company of Anshan Steel Company, Jiuzhi Second Company, and has been rearranged as No.16 Regiment of Basic Construction Engineering Army in 1966 and as Shenzhen No.2 Construction Engineering Company in 1983, In Mar. 1995 the Company was renamed as Shenzhen Jianye Construction Engineering Company In Aug 1997, it was registered as Shenzhen Jianye Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.

The company was approved by the National Construction Ministry as Class A for civil road work, and Class A for construction of decoration projects in Nev.1998. Now, the Company has 9 branch companies and 3 professional processing factories, more than 3000 staffs include 230 technologists and engineers, 150 economists, 24 project managers and 328 other professional staffs, total assets 482 million yuan RMB, and kinds of mechanical machines 550 units, The average technological rate is 24500 yuan RMB/person. Total power of mechanical machine is 29269 kW. The average mechanical rate is 10kW/person.

Scope of business: civil and industrial buildings; road and runway engineering; earth work; ground work and foundation engineering; mechanical engineering for medium scale projects; power transformation engineering of no more than 10KV; fire system and blooding alarm system; gas storage; curtain wall and steel work engineering.

It has been 40 years since the Company established. The company has made great historic contribution for the construction of the Motherland and Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
During the fifties, taking part in the reconstruction and expand of Anshan Steel Factory.
During sixties, taking part in the expand engineering of Heilongjiang Qiqihaer Beiman steel factory and some key project engineering of Gansu Saquan Steel Factory.

During seventies, undertaking the construction of east Hebei production and live base of second branch of basic construction engineering army and the construction of expanding Qianan Mine for Capital Steel Corporation After the earthquake of Tangshan in 1976, the Company took and active part in the earthquake relief work and the reconstruction of Tangshan Steel Factory. During the action of resuming production and reconstruction house, the company fulfilled the task of construction No.4 and NO.8 residential quarters of more than 220,000 m2 and the constructing of civil auxiliary projects with high speed, high quality and high efficiency. The excellence rate of the engineering is 95%. The company has behaved first ones among the 34 units assisting Tangshan and has been awarded by Tangshan Construction Headquarters. During the emulation of “Beijing,Tianjin and Tangshan Excellent Engineering” sponsored by the National Construction Committee, the Construction Industry Bureau, the National Labour Union, the National Labour Bureau and China Construction Bank, the Company has been awarded 4 silk banners. The Company was awarded “excellent Engineering” Silver medal by the National Metallurgical Industry Ministry and “Excellent Engineering Regiment” by Basic Construction Engineering Army.

Since 1983, Jianye has constructed many kinds of buildings of more than 2,500,000m2, bulfilled construction output value of 4000 million RMB. Among the projects fulfilled by Jianye there are 56 High buildings of more than 18 floors, 29 super-high buildings of more than 100m, 4 large modernized overpasses, and 650,000m2 of civil roads. Engineering qualification rate 100%, excellence rate 85%. Buildings constructed by Jianye such as Shenzhen Teachers College building, Shenzhen Tiandi Building, E, G, H, Buildings of Shenzhen Longcheng Garden, Shenzhen Lidu Buildings and Haizhou Town Building have been awarded “The City High-quality Model Engineering Project” and “The Province High-quality Model Engineering Project.”

With the achievement Jianye has been awarded "May Day" Labour's Merit Certificate by Guangdong Government, the First Unit of Labour Competition of Large Enterprises of Guangdong Province, the Advanced Unit of Shenzhen Construction, Shenzhen Quality Advanced Unit and Shenzehn Safety Advanced Unit. Jianye was awarded "The 500 Largest Construction Enterprises" by the National Statistic Bureau in 1991, the forth of "The National 100 Strongest Construction Enterprises" by the National Statistic Bureau, the National Construction Ministry and the National Enterprises Evaluating Center in Jul. 1993, "The National Excellent Construction Enterprise,1994" by the National Construction Enterprises Administration Committee in 1994, the 153th "the National Largest Scale Construction Enterprises" in May 1994, the Sixth of "the National 500 Most Efficient Economical Construction Enterprises" of the National Construction Ministry, 30th of "The National 100 Largest Scale Construction Enterprises" of Building Construction, "Shenzhen large Taxpayer", "Shezhen Commitment Enterprise", "Shenzhen Excellent 'Three Superior' Enterprise" and "AAA Certificate". The company was awarded "The National Advanced Group of Mass Sports" by the National Sport Committee in 1997.
